Mediterranean Yoga Odyssey with Connie Cappos

Mediterranean Yoga Odyssey with Connie Cappos

Have you been home for a while, dreaming of getting away and doing something empowering and healthy for your well-being? Are you ready to travel again? Would you like to reconnect with yourself and a small group of like-minded people on an exotic Greek Island through yoga, meditation, breath work and shared experiences? Then join me on my Mediterranean Yoga Odyssey retreat on the island of Paros in June of 2023.
This retreat was created for you and comes at a time when we could all use a bit of a jumpstart. Join me on a journey of self-discovery, self-care and adventure. Learn yoga that will enhance your feelings of well-being and vitality. We’ll discuss how to take better care of ourselves, mentally and physically; secrets to successful interactions with others, how to set boundaries and eliminate fears, among other self-empowering topics. We will feast on sumptuous, organic, farm to table vegetarian meals that will detox our bodies and nourish our souls.
We will also take the time to luxuriate on the world-class Aegean beaches, visit the island of Antiparos; visit her incredible caves, the port village and have dinner in a small fishing taverna while immersing ourselves in the sights and sounds of Greece.
When was the last time you did something just for yourself?
Join me this summer on Paros to re-focus, re-set and recharge.
This retreat is open to yoga practitioners of all levels, including beginners. During our time together our 2-hour morning class will include the full spectrum of the physical practice including, but not limited to: warmups, tendon awareness, forward bends, twists, back bends, inversions, balance, vinyasa with a long, aroma-therapy induced sivasana (rest). We will start and end each class with meditation and explore different types of pranayama, (breathwork) and the effects it has on our practice and everyday well-being. We will cleanse our bodies through our prepared diet and kriyas and meditate on the beach as the sun rises on our own beach. We will learn new things, deepen and get a better understanding of what yoga means to us on a personal level.
We will meet daily for 1 -1 ½ hours in the afternoon for restorative yoga, breathwork, meditation, sound bath, dharma talk, and/or a mindfulness practice.

Connie Cappos

I am the founder and director of Kupukupu Yoga, in Pahoa, Hawaii. My relationship with Yoga started on quest to find a healthier way to live. After years of unhealthy living, obesity, and chronic pain, it was through yoga that I was able to finally get my mind, body, and spirit reconnected and live happily

In 1998 my yogic path began at Yoga Oasis Retreat Center in Puna, Hawaii. I became a staff member, and then a teacher, receiving my YTT in 2009. I taught and lead wellness retreats for Yoga Oasis before opening Kupukupu Yoga in Pahoa in 2012. I was forced close the studio in 2014 due to volcanic eruption. I relocated to Hawaiian Sanctuary Retreat Center, from 2014 -2020, where I taught and managed the yoga program.  I lead retreats and workshops, teach on 200-hour YTT teams, and at yoga festivals, including teaching the opening class at the Hawaii Yoga Festival in 2017. I currently run and manage my own studio in Pahoa, Hawaii. I travel to Rishikesh, India annually to go deeper in my studies to practice with yoga masters and spiritual leaders. In March 2023, I will be honored to be representing the United States as the Ambassador at the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh.

I am committed and dedicated to my own daily yoga practice; it is as important to me as sharing my knowledge of yoga with others.

I am world traveler, a semi-retired celebrity stylist, manage my own tropical vacation rental and tend to my tropical organic orchard. I am passionate about wellness, and expansion. I use my years of training and experience on the mat to combine an active practice of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, and Sound Bath.
