Up to the age of 30 I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Because of this feeling of not knowing and also a certain emptiness, I decided as a teenager for the French business school in Friborg. I was enthusiastic about languages and I rounded off my training with language stays in London. Then I plunged into working life, where I was successful as an Executive Assistant in my living and working locations in Zurich and London, but I lacked fulfillment and heartfelt enthusiasm in my work.
In 2003 I took part in a yoga class with Sonja Blattner for the first time. Already during this first yoga class I felt that I had discovered something very special for myself. Yoga stirred something in me. I went back. The good feeling stayed and got stronger. Although I only practiced with Sonja once a week, I came to. It was my first time ever arriving at my place. And I discovered a passion, a flame in me that I had not known before and that I had missed in my work and my life. After 1 year of yoga, in the final meditation, I had – as I was later able to find out, one of many – illuminating moment with a crystal-clear, simple realization: I feel HAPPY while practicing yoga. And: I want MORE of it.
Then the yoga path was given for me. I registered in 2005, together with my sister Brigitte , for the International Yoga Teacher Training (Yoga Alliance 200 h) with Glenn Ceresoli and Lance Schuler and yoga became my way of life.
Everything else in my life followed naturally and, as I realized, for the first time without resistance. I immersed myself in my yoga practice and yoga teaching with further training as a yoga therapist with Remo Rittiner, again together with Brigitte. In doing so, I became aware that I was enthusiastic about the therapeutic work and I came back to a very old wish of mine – namely to work with touch. One form of touch appealed to me in particular: Shiatsu. For several years I regularly went to Shiatsu treatments with Adrian Bernet to compensate for stressful jobs. He later inspired me to do this training. Just as I immediately knew that yoga was for me, after the Shiatsu basic course in the Tao Chi school I was immediately sure that I would do this 3.
Shiatsu is a wonderful addition to my path. My yoga influenced my Shiatsu and Shiatsu increasingly influenced my yoga.
Yoga, Shiatsu, meditation, Qi Gong, dance, MOVEMENT. These holistic health systems and body paths are in one my passion and fire, my balance and my way of life.
Today I like to inspire and inspire people to come into more contact with themselves and their body through movement and breathing and to sharpen their perception and mindfulness – whether in a Shiatsu or yoga therapy session, in group yoga classes, in tailor-made yoga, Meditation courses, holistic workshops, yoga holidays or life mission seminars with my partner Caspar Fröhlich, in which we trace the subject of vocation and heart’s desires.
