This is a 5 days course designed to create solid foundations of the Ashtanga primary series receiving clear instructions on how to get into the postures. Beyond simply making shapes the point is connecting to yourself that comes from understanding the role of the breathing, bandhas (internal locks) and drishti (looking place).
Students will be taught: key principles of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Sun Salutations,
standing and seated postures (until Navasana) back bands and finishing postures.
This course is suitable for all levels, complete beginners to Ashtanga Yoga or even Yoga in general but even advanced students are likely to find some new and valuable information in it.
Modifications will be introduced according to the individual’s experience to make the practice accessible to everyone.
At the end of the course students may join the Ashtanga led and Mysore classes to continue their learning.
