Yin Yoga is the practice of engaging with the gentler Yin energy. Yin energy is the feeling you get while in a spa – deep softness, relaxation, opening, groundedness, and release. With the incorporation of breath work and meditation, the physical practice of Yin will leave you feeling melted and relaxed in a post massage or acupuncture kind of way. A regular practice of Yin Yoga keeps the joints strong and healthy, the body flexible and open, and the mind calm and centered. We are so excited to offer this practice to you every evening of our retreat, followed by journaling and reflection. Yin Yoga has the potential to bring us into a state in which deep reflection, intuition, awareness, and creativity may flourish.
Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is a unique and ancient form of restorative meditation that helps us to learn new ways of connecting with our true self. It allows us to get in touch with our deepest callings and highest potential, leading us to feel more awake and more abundant in life. Yoga Nidra has become a huge focal point as an effective mind-body therapy for several common disorders such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, addiction, hypertension, and diabetes.

Daily breakfast/brunch and dinner is included with the retreat. You will be nourished by the food grown in Okreblue’s own organic gardens. Our private chefs offer daily sumptuous organic, Indian/Mediterranean infused farm to table vegetarian meals from our garden or local farmers. All of our meals are served in our cafe /dining hall Caretta.
Vegan, gluten free, wheat free, dairy free diets and other special diets can be accommodated upon request.
Apart from our included meals, the cafe is open daily and serves light meals and drinks. Tea as well as drinking filtered water is available all day.

Kristen Sprague

Kristen has been passionately practicing and studying yoga for over a decade. With a teaching foundation in classical Ashtanga Vinyasa, Kristen continued on to study Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, as well as Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Reiki. Over the years her practice and teachings have evolved to focus more on restoration and energetic healing. In addition to her spiritual training, Kristen has an extensive background in biology, anatomy, and medical sciences, which gives her teaching style a unique and harmonious balance between mind, body and spirit. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Integrative Medicine Research with a focus on Yoga Nidra for reducing anxiety and depression.
