Aerial & Yin yoga retreat with Sasy Chasomeri & Cecilia Cerza

5 days Aerial and Yin yoga retreat with Sasy Chasomeri and Cecilia Cerza

On our Aerial and Yin Yoga retreat we will start each morning with a gravity reversing, joint reviving Aerial yoga class in our spacious studio and end the day with a harmonizing, calming restorative Yin practice. Aerial Yoga’s’ fiery stabilization and Yin yoga’s earthy sequences are a dynamic combination of action and pause. In Yin Yoga we apply a passive and moderate stretch to the connective tissues, fascia, tendons and ligaments with the aim to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. These poses are designed to improve the flow of prana and calm the mind. Aerial Yoga is practiced with the use of silk hammocks that are used as props to increase strength and develop flexibility in the joints. The silks allow us to take the weight off of our feet, resulting in joint relief, reversed blood flow, and lymphatic drainage. In Aerial Yoga all of the body parts gently move and stretch. The muscles rejuvenate, and the joints become stronger. We use our core strength to balance and stabilize during this practice. The combination of these two unique practices results in a strong, relaxed body and mind.

Her method is based on the Alignment Principles of Anusara Yoga. The practice of Anusara Yoga is considered to be ‘heart-oriented’, meaning that it is expressed from the ‘inside out’. Artistically and mindfully, Sasy interweaves a meaningful intention, to the physical practice with her deep knowledge of human body anatomy, as a way to expand and take your awareness beyond the mat and into everyday life. Each sequence is very carefully designed to meet her students’ needs for continuous growth and healing.

Sasy aims to inspire people to live life to its fullest potential, cultivate their inner power, and unfold the strength that is already present to face life’s challenges as opportunities for development and transformation.

Cecilia Cerza

My Yoga journey started in 2012 while studying Zen Shiatsu in Barcelona. After a few years of working as a massage therapist, fascinated from the energetic body and the oriental view, I wanted to deepen my knowledge and understand how to apply it in my massage treatments.

This brought me to Yoga as I was looking for something that could help me to be clean, aligned and strong to be a better vehicle for my clients.

Yoga become a lifestyle. In 2017 I did my first teacher training in Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga, and few months later in Yin Yoga. After about 2 years of teaching I joined and assisted Tanya Popovich in her Hatha-Vinyasa advanced teacher training program. After exploring different styles and studying with different teachers around the world, I was introduced to the Ashtanga Vinyasa method from the much appreciated Prem and Radha Carlisi, while living in Indonesia. Ashtanga become my main personal practice and a big part of my life. I was fortunate to practice and train with amazing and inspiring teachers along my way like Kristina Karitinou in Greece and, moved from the curiosity in source of new inspirations and experiences to be able to travel to Mysuru, India and learn from brilliant Ajay Kumar.

I love to bring the principles of Zen Shiatsu in my Yoga classes, specially while guiding Yin practices. As well as in my body treatments where I intuitively combine deep tissue techniques while focusing on pressure points and meridian lines according to the needs of the clients.
